Ford Sync 1.x iOS 10.0.2 Bluetooth Issue

So once again Apple in iOS 10.0.2 broke the bluetooth integration with my Ford Sync system 1.x System. This system has not been updated since 2012. So it is NOT the head unit it was working fine under iOS 9.3.5. What changed? I can no longer get Bluetooth steaming audio and phone integration. Has anyone else had this issue? I have done a a Master Rest and factory default multiple times. My iPhone 6 I did a clean install from and iTunes restore and setup as a new phone. Does anyone have any ideas or is this a bug that was introduced with iOS 10?

notes: my head unit is pre "My Ford Touch"

I'm having the exact same problem with my iPhone 7 plus in my 2011 Ford Explorer. It only started when I upgraded to the iPhone 7 plus and downloaded the latest iOS 10.2 Apple need to fix this issue with Bluetooth connections. Now when I have a call I have to change my phone to speaker and put my phone as close to me as I can so that I can talk hands free. This is crazy. APPLE please take action!

SO MY question to someone - anyone is, How do you get Apple to at least look into the possibility that just maybe this issue is their problem. I've been told its a Ford problem - not it is NOT. Apple, come on.

Does anyone have a link to a site - not this site - where we can inform them of a problem with their blue tooth, Frankly I don't think anyone at Apple is reading these comments.

I recently took my f150 into the dealership thinking it had something to do with the truck.

They did an update for just over$200, and my phone still drops calls.....

Then I synced up my work phone (iPhone 6) to my truck and had no issues.

So what does a guy do?

My phone always connects then drops picks up again, then drops....

Had a thirty minute call and my phone dropped 3 times

I have the issue too. My new iPhone 7 Plus skips, stutters, and drops out randomly when bluetooth is used to connect to my Ford Sync system. I actually even brought my first iPhone 7+ back to the Apple Store for an exchange (thinking that the phone was defective), but the replacement does the same thing. It is so disappointing. I had relied on that integration for navigation directions, hands-free calls, and music that I could access with siri commands. Driving is significantly more dangerous now. I hope nobody gets killed.

Wow, so it is unique to iOS 10.0.2? That means that it is not the hardware of the iPhone 7 itself. And that Apple can fix it through an OTA update. impatiently waiting. . .

Because the employees who make Apple software do not actually monitor these forums, it would help if the other people experiencing this issue would let them know that there is a problem to fix. I have just now done so.

Somehow I doubt it is a faulty head unit. I went through the same thought processes however if it worked in iOS 9.3.5 as it did with me then it is not the head unit. In my case my car is a 2011 and the head unit and its software has not changed since 2012. That was the last update for the ford SYNC 1.x systems. Since that has not changed I have to assume from deduction that its the phone because it is constantly being updated. However let me know what you find out either way.

Further on from my first comment.

I had a family come round to mine and look for my sync via his android phone and he couldn't see it in his bluetooth devices. I then went into his car with my Iphone and easily picked up his in car bluetooth.

i suspect I have a faulty bluetooth unit and the car is being looked at next Tuesday by a Ford dealership
